If your dog suffers from itchy skin, rashes, allergies, hot spots, or recurring skin irritation, traditional shampoos often make things worse. At our Edinburgh salon, Thera-Clean works differently. Your dog soaks in warm microbubble water for around 25 minutes while billions of tiny bubbles penetrate deep into pores, gently removing allergens, bacteria, and yeast. For dogs with ongoing skin issues, we recommend a series of 6 sessions for best results. Dogs without skin conditions can have a single deep-clean session.

The science behind the bubbles
Traditional shampoos rely on surface tension and scrubbing, which can stress and irritate the skin barrier. Thera-Clean works differently — from the inside out.
Microbubble generation
The Thera-Clean system generates billions of negatively charged bubbles measuring just 3–20 micrometres — smaller than a red blood cell. These microscopic bubbles are small enough to penetrate deep into hair follicles and skin pores where traditional shampoos can't reach.
Deep cleansing action
The negatively ionised bubbles naturally attract and lift positively charged dirt, oils, allergens, bacteria, yeast, and even pathogenic biofilm from deep within the pores. A natural plant enzyme helps loosen debris stuck to pore walls — all without any rubbing, soaps, or chemicals.
Rinse and reveal
The loosened impurities are simply rinsed away, leaving behind skin and coat that's cleaner at a cellular level than any traditional bath. Clean pores also allow topical medications and treatments to penetrate deeper and work more effectively.
